Woven Willow Sculptures
Here a few examples of sculptures made with willow. The willow used is dried willow which is then soaked to make it supple. All our sculptures are 100% willow, the larger ones also have hazel frames. We use no ties or wire. The sculptures below range from £50 to £300 per item. Smaller garden sculptures also available, e.g. dragonflies £15, flowers £12, email us for a picture. Living Willow Fences, Domes, Sculpture & Play Structures
The images below are taken of Living Willow structures at various stages of growth. All willow structures can be excpected to grow between 2-6 feet each year, and need to be trimmed annually to maintain their shape. Living willow can only be confidently planted between October & March, when the trees are dormant.
Living willow is perfect for workshops with children and adults of every ability. Click for a larger image.

Living willow whale, 6 metres long 2 metres high, to be used for picnics and owl watching. Planted February 2008 for a private client.

Living willow storytelling dome made in a workshop with several classes of primary age children. Dome measures 4 metres across 2 metres high. March 2008.

30 foot living willow dragon made for a private client. It was planted in early 2007, this picture was taken after the yearly trim in 2008.
Below: 35 foot living dragon, made in a 3 day workshop involving nearly 200 children in a Swansea Primary School. The dragon has 2 entrances, and is basically a long play tunnel/dome.
